OKLAHOMA DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE

The wildlife is an important resource, which is present all around us. This resource needs to be protected. The need for conserving it is being felt by all the nations of the world. Countries like The United States of America, Great Britain and other such countries have taken numerous methods to conserve their wildlife. In the United States of America, laws have been passed according to which the responsibility of conserving the wildlife of all its states has been handed over to separate organizations. In the state of Oklahoma, this responsibility has been entrusted with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife. The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife launches programs to protect the various wild animals and their habitats. The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife launches programs with the partnership of the state government, the federal government and the private industries.

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife acquires funds and utilizes those funds for various purposes such as purchasing fish, wildlife land, developing lands and construction of fish hatcheries. The funds are also used for training volunteers, educating amateur hunters, construction of the necessary infrastructure such as boat ramps, parking lots, docks, fish cleaning stations and also restrooms. The acquired funds are also spent on the operation and maintenance of wildlife areas. The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife uses the funds for developing wetlands, lakes as well as wildlife habitats, purchasing wildlife land, water, fish, training and educating archers, anglers and hunters regarding water safety, fish, wildlife resources, and ethics required for fishing as well as hunting techniques.
